the ultimate test of
Human Endurance
Over the last few decades, the attitude towards physical training and
endurance across the whole Gulf region has moved forward tremendously. In
all sporting fields, whether that be marathon running, triathlons, road races,
or swimming the Gulf of water between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the
Kingdom of Bahrain, men and women in the region are now competing against
the very best in the world.
Mount Everest is widely considered to be the ultimate test of human
endurance, to conquer it you have to put yourself through 60 days of sheer
physical exhaustion, constantly battling against the unforgiving terrain and
the most severe weather conditions found anywhere on the planet.
To sit on top of the world, quite literally so, takes both physical and mental
resilience, and an out and out will to succeed. This is why I offer my
unreserved support to the ‘Bahrain Everest’ team in their 2021 Mount Everest attempt.

The Road To Everest
Team's Experience
“Reaching the Manaslu summit has boosted the team’s aptitudes to scale Mount Everest in 2021 and raise the Bahraini flag at the summit.”
HH Shaikh Nasser
“The acclimatization of Lobuche and Manaslu is probably the most important aspect of the climb. We found ourselves gasping for breath because of the lack of oxygen as you start pushing past 3000 meters, especially on Manaslu as we got higher. I don’t think anyone had a good night’s sleep in those 8 days as it’s very uncomfortable.”

an overview
The Highest Peak
Mount Everest, its peak standing at 8,848m above sea level, represents in the purest form, the wonder and magnificence of nature. The legendary mountain presides over the Himalayan range, overlooking Nepal and Tibet. Apart from it being the highest peak in the world, the dominating Everest renders a certain aura about it, setting it apart from the others, demanding more commitment from its explorers, affording some of the most testing physical challenges faced by men and women on this earth. Many have tried but few have succeeded in conquering Everest.
